I got off of work late this evening and went for a drive. You know that phenomenon where you and another car seem to be going to same way? IE, taking the same turns, and you seem to meet up many times despite traffic? After awhile you notice this, and maybe acknowledge it with a head nod... Well this happened, and it happened to be with an NHP officer. No biggie, I wasn't breaking any laws; I may go a couple over the speed limit here and there, but hell, so does he.
So we both get on the highway; I was in the middle lane, he was in the right. After about a mile somebody in a beatup pickup truck comes cruising by at about 85-90MPH. The cop definitely noticed him too. I look over at him, smile and shake my head. He smiles back, flips on his lights, and gave me a demonstration of how well a modified Camaro can work.
And justice was served.
(Please remind me of this story if I ever get pulled over for 81 in a 65 again.)

So, there's a starbucks opening 1 minute away from my apt. And to think before I had to drive 2 minutes to get to the closest starbucks! What a timesaver!

If you drive a car, I probably hate you.

In the course of driving to Sam's Club and back (about 3 miles each way), I witnessed the following events:
- 3 people cut me off
- 2 people were going 30 in a 45 (they were driving next to each other, preventing anybody from passing)
- 47 instances of changing lanes or turning without using a turn signal (may be a couple off; I lost count at one point)
- One person who turned left at a 4-way stop without using her turn signal, nearlying hitting me. I happened to be going straight through the intersection when this happened. Then she had the nerve to honk her horn at me; appearantly I'm supposed to be psychic and realize that while she was signalling to go straight, she REALLY wanted to turn left.
In conclusion, I hate you.
